THE BATTLE PLAYGROUND
The Battle Playground was originally constructed as a family-friendly area in the frontier, but it quickly developed its own battling scene and soon became a battle facility of its own. The Battle Playground's rules are that only unevolved Pokemon who have an evolution may be entered. All Pokemon are set to Lv. 5 and the moves Sonic Boom and Dragon Rage are banned. The majority of trainers in the Playground are school kids, youngsters, lasses etc.
Upon winning 20 and 50 consecutive battles in standard and super modes respectively, the player will battle the Playground Boss Griselda.

Although Griselda is still a child, she's made a large impact on the Tenjoh Battle Frontier. Griselda has a reputation for her petulant behaviour, becoming very infuriated when she loses. Thankfully, this rarely happens due to her skill battling with her unevolved Pokemon. Despite her childish tendencies, her self-assertiveness sometimes makes people believe that she's older than what she actually is.
