Ability: Shadow Proxy - When this Pokémon is above 25% health, its shadow fights for it. When it falls below this, its shadow disappears.
Info: While Purnicious is a pitifully defenceless and vulnerable Pokémon, its shadow is the exact opposite. Its shadow has a complete mind of its own, and is terribly vicious, attacking anything that comes close with scratches and bites. It is said that the shadow developed a mind of its own as a way to defend Purnicious. Purnicious lives in fear of its vicious shadow, and cowers when it fights.

Purnicious was inspired by the idea of a cat being scared by its own shadow. I then worked this into a fakemon concept which would operate similar to Wishiwashi. 

The shape of its face is meant to resemble a shocked speech bubble from a comic strip or something.
